True Love Editor Dorah Sitole to Start Romance Series at Thought24’s New Book Division

February 1st, 2010 by Jani

Dora Sitole

Alert! Industry news is that True Love magazine said a fond farewell to editor Dorah Sitole last week.

Sitole is set to slide, within the giant Media24 empire, up a level to Thought24 (the group that publishes True Love, and yes, that’s its real name) to head up a new book venture that will be working with both Kwela and Leisure Books.

The focus will be on the romance genre; read more:

Dorah Lydia Sitole will be leaving her post as Editor of TRUE LOVE magazine to head up Thought24’s exciting new Book Division. The pillar of this business will be a Romance Novel Series, created to appeal to the readers of Thought24’s TRUE LOVE, Real, Move! and Move! Parent magazines. The book division will work in close partnership with Kwela and Leisure Books.

Jonathan Harris, CEO/Publisher of Thought24, commented: “Dorah has extensive media experience and is a published author herself, exactly the skills combination needed for Thought24’s expansion into the book publishing sector. She will still be working closely with the TRUE LOVE team and after more than twenty years with the brand, her insight and input remain very valuable. This is a new chapter for Thought24 and for Dorah, and I am very excited to have the opportunity to build this important part of our strategy with her.

Yay! I've wanted to see romances specifically aimed at South African women for years.

I'm not sure which name this journalist thought was strange - Thought24 or True Love?

Definitely Thought24. One didn't imagine it was possible to get worse than ThoughtLeader (I mean, c'mon, ThoughtLeader?), but one is proven wrong.

Ben sold us to something24 once. It was on 1 April 2009. Liesl and Sophy were touchingly excited at the prospect of scoring some decent healthcare for a change. But no. It all came to nothing.

BOOK SA will redirect to BOOKS24 within the next month or so - we're becoming an outlet for Leserskring.

Ben. That was naughty. You will turn us all into drug-addled, twitching wrecks.
