Follow the Frankfurt Book Fair on Twitter #fbf #fbm09 #tocfrankfurt

October 13th, 2009 by Ben - Editor

Frankfurt Book FairAlert! The Frankfurt Book Fair, the world’s largest commercial book event, kicks off tomorrow in, erm, Frankfurt, Germany. (Authors, if you’ve been trying to contact your publishers, this is why they ain’t around.)

The event – which has a 50% stake in the Cape Town Book Fair, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year and welcomes China as its guest of honour.

Many attending the fair this year have become active Twitter users, and have banded together under various hashtags to tweet the goings on.

South Africans should find the tweets of Jonathan Ball’s Eugene Ashton (@EHuge) of interest; he’s using #fbf:

Another key account to follow will be Electric Book Works‘ Arthur Attwell (@arthurattwell), who’s being assiduously tracked by Michelle Matthews (@michelle_matt).

The “official” hashtag, meanwhile, seems to be #fbm09 (that “bm” stands for “buchmesse”, which is about right). Meanwhile, if you’re looking for Tools of Change tweets, follow #tocfrankfurt.
