March 3rd, 2008 by Ben - Editor

Exclusive Books Children's Festival

Alert! Selected Exclusive Books stores in Gauteng, the Free State, the Eastern Cape, Pretoria, KwaZulu Natal and the Western Cape will participate in the chain’s annual Children’s Festival, which kicks off this Saturday, 8 March, and runs until the end of the month.

Entrance is free but space is limited, so parents should book their places as soon as possible. See below for the links.

Festival highlights at the various stores include Pedro the Music Man and the Rhythmania team dancing to musical tales, and Ida Gartrell entertaining the crowds with her medley of humorous poetry and stories.

Kids Love to Read!

The authors of The Cool Nguni and The Long Trousers, Maryanne and Shayle Bester, will bring children a fun-filled morning of story telling and crafts. Miss Behave will have plenty of sound advice and fun for her young fans and Mulbry Bear and his friends will teach children more about caring for our planet.

Fantasy fans are in for a special treat, with the appearance of international bestselling fantasy writer and author of Artemis Fowl, Eoin Colfer, at EB V&A Waterfront and EB Hyde Park.

Kids and Books

Sindiwe Magona and Gcina Mhlope are the official hosts and will be popping up here and there throughout the month. The events promise a feast of delights for all budding bookworms – don’t miss them!
